Article in East End Life – 12 May 2011

Flyover Arts launched on 5 May and was covered by the local press.

The work of a new arts collective went on display for the first time with free open workshops for the public on May 5.  Flyover Arts was launched to promote the arts and crafts of the East End and take exhibitions around the UK and abroad.  The various artists have been connected to the Bromley by Bow Centre for up to 25 years and specialise in painting, stained glass, ceramics, drawing and sculpture.

To accompany the artists’ work, the evening also saw the launch of a range of products from Arteast, POLLEN and Artychoke – the Centre’s merchandising and art and design projects for people with physical and mental illness.
