On 25 March 2011 I represented the Flyover Arts group at the One Church 100 Uses Conference held at The Monastery in Gorton, Manchester.
The conference was aimed at all church denominations who were seeking to maximise the use of their buildings for community and other purposes. The Bromley by Bow Centre – where the group is based – is a well known example of how church buildings have developed into a range of community uses, including a health centre, café, arts studios and social enterprises.
Art was one of the key catalysts for change at Bromley by Bow and artists within the group have a wealth of experience at working in community contexts.
